Charity is a cornerstone of Freemasonry, reflecting our commitment to helping others and improving society. Masons actively engage in charitable activities, supporting local communities and various philanthropic causes. Through financial contributions, volunteer work, and organized events, Freemasons strive to make a positive impact, embodying the principles of compassion and brotherly love that define our fraternity.
Freemasonry in the United Kingdom is the second largest charity donor, after the National Lottery. Nationally, Freemasonry contributed £51.1m to deserving causes in 2020 alone. In addition, more than 18.5 million hours of volunteer work are undertaken by Freemasons every year. We at Lodge of Attainment are extremely proud of the sums raised by Freemasons globally, nationally, across London and as an individual Lodge, ourselves. We are proud to be Bronze Star Award for the London’s Air Ambulance Appeal.
